Sara Paige (b. 1988) grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin. She is currently working and living in Urbana, Illinois. In May of 2016, she graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her Master of Fine Arts degree. She specializes in painting, but also explores other areas in new media such as, installation work, video, and electronics. Her work explores various ways of examining one's self. There are often psychological or spiritual undertones expressed through the work. She has been an artist in resident at Prairie Center of Arts in Peoria, Illinois and Openings Summer Residency in Lake George, New York. Her work has been displayed internationally at Beijing Normal University in China and Universidad Autonoma Benito Juare de Oaxaca in Mexico. Nationally, she has had her work shown at Goggle Works Center for the Arts in Reading, Pennsylvania, Target Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia, and Nails in the Wall Gallery in Metuchen, New Jersey. She won the "Best Miniature Award" in the 2011 Richeson 75 International Small Works exhibition at the Richeson School of Art & Gallery in Kimberly, Wisconsin. In 2015, she also had her first solo exhibition at Amara in Urbana, Illinois.
